(...) Then, there was the hotel grounds!! Situated on a Ricky headland meant spectacular views wherever you were, by the saltwater pool and jacuzzi or in the shade under one of the many pine trees. Heaven wherever. There is private access to a stunning beach and cove with restaurants and bars as well as access to the coastal path into Roses. if you want bars and biz this is not for you. If you want to relax, enjoy good food and do your own thing, then this is worth trying.

(...) The architecture is an elegant (60s?) take on the modernist style so may be a bit too minimalist for some tastes but it is largely as it was when Salvador Dali was a regular (a number of his works adorn the walls). All in all, it is a bit like stepping back 50 years in a time machine to an era when service was quite proper, from the very courteous and helpful service at reception to the flambéing of dishes at the table in the hotel's restaurant. The wine list is very carefully selected and features many excellent wines from the Emporda region and all at very reasonable prices. Cocktails are excellent but beware, the measures are rather generous! The food is generally very good and features some quite traditional Catalan dishes. I've been before and I'll definitely go back!

W are returning to this hotel for 30 years still going. Rooms impeccable kept in style but still upgraded as time got by. This style isn't lost by improvements. Each year there are improvements added step by step. Never a huge redesign or refurbishment. Decoration fits with that and there are some original signed paintings of Salvador Dali.
